Hard to say where it’s at. Baku is on the northern border of Iran. Baku borders Armenia on the west. Baku also borders Georgia.

But I’ve never visited any other country that doesn’t have a political or cultural known location. Azerbaijan is not considered the Middle East, nor is it considered Europe.

You can say Azerbaijan is located in the “Caucuses.”

The Caucuses are the mountain range in Southern Russia. It the group of countries of Georgia, and Armenia.

Baku, Azerbaijan gives you a mix of the old world and the new world with its architecture, food, and culture. Some say it’s the new Dubai, but you get more of an Istanbul, Turkey feel.
